The Research Group USN Autonomy at the University of South-Eastern Norway is pleased to once again host the AutoDrone Competition from 31st of May-1st of June 2023 in Horten, Norway. It is a thrill to host and organize this maritime robotic event for the fifth time in Norway!
The competition is open to fully autonomous and unmanned boats up to the following maximum dimensions:
L :1810 mm
W: 910 mm
H: 910 mm
The AutoDrone2025 will take place in Horten in June at the Test Arena for Autonomous Surface Ships with control centre located at Kongsberg Discovery's facilities and dock area.
SPEED MISSION
The seadrone is timed as it speeds through a set of start buoys, then navigates around the turning buoy, and returns through the start buoys again.
COLLISION AVOIDANCE
The seadrone must pass through a trafficked area avoiding another vessel according to navigational collision avoidance regulations.
OBSTACLE CHANNEL
the Obstacle Channel mission proves the seadrone's capability to sense and maneuver through a new path while avoiding obstacles in the way.
DOCKING
The seadrone must try to dock to an area at a quay marked by two green buoys.
